Some of our work so far...

Passion Play 2005
(with Parables, Church of Saint Anthony's)
This piece of work is truly a meditation of the passion of our friend,
brother, Lord and King, Jesus Christ.
Every year, for the entire period of lent,
the cast and crew would journey together into the events
that took place that holy week.
It begins with Jesus' last supper with his beloved friends,
then it moves into betrayal, denial and finally his painful death.
This play always touches our hearts.
It reveals to each of us,
the depth of our relationship
with Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

THE CURÉ
The Life of Saint John Vianney - Patron Saint of Priests - Victoria Theatre, 2006

(Collaboration with Church of Saint Anthony's)

For about 40 years of his life, Jean Vianney suffered from insufficient food and sleep
to the point beyond sustainable life while committing his life
to labouring incessantly for the less privileged, orphans and charities; yet with unfailing humility, gentleness,
patience and cheerfulness even beyond his 73rd birthday.
A simple man, his advice was sought by many including bishops,
religious, youth, people in difficulties and the sick.
By 1855, some 20,000 people a year would visit him to seek advice.
It was said he could see through a person and "get it" about a person.

Saint Jean Vianney is widely known for interceding in miraculous results
in raising money for charities and food for orphans,
for his supernatural knowledge of the past and future when speaking with people seeking his counsel
and for interceding in miraculous healing of the sick, especially children.
The life of St John Vianney,
The Cure of Ars was a stunning visual feast,
produced with the members of the Church of St Anthony's Parish.

The Jeweler's Shop
(In collaboration with Couples for Christ)

A Play by the late Pope John Paul.

The Playwright
Pope John Paul II is the second-longest reigning pope in history.
He is only one of the four people to be named in Time 100
in both the 20th and 21st Century. And in 1994 Time Magazine's Man of the Year.
Later, he was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for 2004.
He was a symbol of love, peace, hope and joy not just to his Catholic flock
but to many around the world.
But before his priesthood he spent several years in Poland
as a playwright, actor and director.
He often said that the theatre was the hardest thing to give up in becoming a priest,
for it was his great passion.
He worked for a number of years in the Rhapsodic Theatre, producing works of heart and social consciousness.

The Synopsis
The JewelerÕs Shop is a 3 Act play looking at 3 couples
as their lives become intertwined and mingled with one another.
The play looks at our ideas and expectations of romantic love and marriage.
It is a truthful and funny look at the way we are when in love and why and how we enter into couple hood.
What does it mean to be in love? How does it die? How do we make it live?
If it dies, how do we go on living--and loving again?
Expect of course the occasional suggestion from an occasional
bystander in the play This play is for anyone living or contemplating a love relationship.
If you can, see it with the one you love;
if you can't, see it yourself.

Postcards From Paul is an inventive look at one of the complex characters in the Catholic tradition.
He was a wolf who ate the lambs of the first Church but became a great shepherd.
Paul was a man who worked for his keep and preached the good news.
Paul was a man capable of both old testament wrath and child like tenderness.
Who was this man? Postcards from Paul attempts to reveal more about this great character by
building on his writing and imagining what his life must have been like.
